Our Team

Wordvice was founded in 2013 by our CEO, John Lee, who previously worked with a private equity and hedge fund. Our in-house team includes project managers from five countries, IT developers, content creators, and a managing editor with more than ten years of English proofreading experience.

As our client base is continually growing, we intend to soon expand our editing team to over 500 research and admissions experts, all of whom have advanced graduate or professional degrees, and 50 academic translators, who have an average of eight years of professional experience each. The academic expertise of our editors includes research fields in the humanities, social sciences, art, medicine, physical and biological sciences, and engineering. We carefully screen each new editor through a rigorous recruitment process and our quality assurance team conducts careful reviews of each order after editors are hired in order to ensure the highest fidelity to our strict quality standards.

Our automated Order Manager system is the engine that makes Wordvice’s ordering and editing process so smooth, reliable, and easy to use for clients and editors alike. After being uploaded, a client’s document is assigned to a regional project manager and a subject-expert editor. After revision is completed, it then passes to a quality assurance specialist for review. As proof of the great care with which we handle clients’ work, only 0.2% of customers report dissatisfaction with their edited documents, and delays in delivery are extremely rare (occurring less than once for every thousand orders we process).
